“Digital Memory Album” is an activity developed and tested by Viaindustriae, in Foligno, in May.
The participants learned how to digitalize family photos and create albums. During the workshop they also acquired some knowledge on specific characteristics of a digitalized image, differences between analogic and digital photos.
The group also discussed how to preserve photos, and necessity of creating a digital copy of a photo which, being old and unique, is exposed to the risk of quality deterioration, and even disappearance.
The workshop was divided into 3 phases: one “analogic” – selection of photos and writing accompanying texts – was followed by two “digital” phases – learning to use the scanner and creating digital albums.
After the albums were ready the authors presented them to all that were present at the workshop.
